For you to become a full-time blogger, there are some things you should know and I will be glad to share them with you in this article.

Full-time bloggers make a lot of money, check out Neilpatel.com. So if your dream is to become a well-known blogger, you are on the right page and your greatness begins today.

I have so many friends who are full-time bloggers, so if you’re ready, let’s move straight on. For you to be a full-time blogger, it means that you are ready to make blogging your primary hustle so you have to consider these steps:

.Stay focused and keep the goal alive.

Stay focused and keep the goal alive.

I had to start with this because blogging is not as easy as publishing articles. In blogging, there are ups and downs and these ups and downs can make someone want to quit.

Staying focused and keeping the goal alive means that you should be ready for anything you see as a blogger. As a blogger anything you come across is not new, many people also passed that stage and they are making it big now.

No one will want to create a blog and abandon it within some months, no one wants to fail. I have seen so many bloggers set up their blogs and on the long run, they just had to quit maybe due to how frustrating it is.

Staying focused and keeping the goal alive also means that you have to give yourself time, do not rush things as blogging is a step by step process.

I don’t know who is reading this right now but I want you to check yourself and find out if truly you want to be a full-time blogger.

That your friend is making it as a blogger doesn’t mean you should start up a blog.

As a saying goes “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step”. Like I have always said, blogging is a step by step process. If you follow the webmasters guidelines drafted by Google you will definitely make it to the top.

Be steady, be focused and keep the goal alive.

Consistency and posting frequency.

If you really want Google to notice and crawl your site every day, then you have to post frequently.

Posting frequently means that you should have days in which you publish at least one post.

There are 7 days in a week so you can choose to publish posts at least three times a week and please do not miss out on any week for at least three months.

I have an aunt who wants to start up a blog but she doesn’t know what to do because she is a worker. I told my aunt that she should relax and give herself six months so that she could be able to write a lot of articles at least 50 before setting up a blog.

After writing these articles within six months, she won’t have to be in a hurry to write and publish, she can just publish an article any day she wants or with her posting schedule. Isn’t that a wonderful idea?

So this short story can also be applicable to you and you will find it much easier when you finally setup your blog.

Make Researches Before Publishing Any Post.

Yes, serious researches play vital roles in blogging.

Before you publish an article, read other articles relating to yours, don’t just publish anything but publish a post worth linking to. You might be scared that you don’t have enough data to write a good article but when you make researches and ask questions, you will find out that there will be so many things to write on.

Before I published my article on All about DMCA, I made a serious research, that’s why I was able to put in a step by step picture for people to see when using search console.

After all, before you publish do not forget to link to posts that you got ideas from, it’s very necessary.

Before publishing a post, use pictures if there is need for them because pictures are easily understood by readers.

Use A Good Web Host and Pay for A Year or Two

The recommended host for a wordPress site is Bluehost. On the contrary, you must not use Bluehost. There are other good hosts out there on the web e.g. smartweb.com.ng, Hostinger.com, hosgator.com etc.

When selecting your host, do check for ssl certificates, domain protection and uptime guarantee.

After taking a thorough look at all these, then it’s time to pay, pay for at least 2 years or a year.

Do not be scared because almost all hosts on the web offer a 30 or 40 days money back guarantee so if you use the host and you are not okay with it, just send them a message telling them to refund you.

To be honest, the first host I used was Namecheap but I didn’t get what I paid for so I sent them a mail telling them to refund me and they did just that.

I made it clear that you should pay for a longer period of time so that hosting won’t be your problem, all you have to do is to focus on publishing articles because you are sure your site won’t go down anytime soon.

Use Social Media to Promote Your Articles

My post on social media for marketing will help you understand which media sites to use and how to use them.

Social media sites are difficult to develop so its better you start immediately you host your site so that your social media account will grow together with your site.

The main social media platforms to use are Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, and YouTube.

You can also use others like Instagram, twitter, Linkedin.

Make Post Videos

If your site is all about coaching or teaching, make sure you make and add videos because people loves watching their coach talk and it can create a very wonderful relationship between you and your users.

After making those videos, post them on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram too.

People who aren’t good at reading will definitely watch your videos and if you’re trying to teach in the video, do it in such a way that it will be a short one.

Meet and Connect With Other Bloggers.

Connecting with other bloggers on social media is very nice because relationships with them can help you get backlinks from high domain authorities.

Backlinks are links linking from another site to your site or from your site to another site.

Other bloggers can share ideas with you and let you know how their blog was developed into what it is.

You can also learn from their mistakes and also refer their articles or pages when make your own post. It’s not necessary you have a blogging team, you can do it on your own but you have to keep on following Google’s rules and regulations.

Visit your Google search console account and Google Analytics every day.

My post on how to use Google search console will help you.

Google search console is a tool setup by Google for bloggers to keep track of their site. Once you setup your account Google will begin to give you analysis on your site’s performance and will also let you know about the challenges your site is facing and how to solve them.

It’s compulsory every blogger should have a Google search console account. You can use search console to inspect your sites urls and also to submit sitemaps so that Google can easily crawl and index your site.

On search console too, you’ll be able to see top visiting countries and high ranking pages. If you receive a DMCA takedown notice, Google will also notify you on your search console account. So if you don’t have a search console account, go create one now.

Make sure you visit your search console account every day.

Start Coaching Others.

This is the last but not the least, if you start offering coaching tips, it will help you grow your audience and you’ll also come across a lot of people. Coaching is not necessary and it’s not meant for everyone and every type of blog.
